Hats for my girls
Two new knitted hats for my two beautiful daughters.
The first one is the Portia pattern from the Louisa Harding book 'Una volta..' the other is from a Swiss knit kit.
Portia has been another Louisa Harding pain in the neck. The pattern calls for one ball of Kimono Angora Pure. I thought that would be a great way to try the yarn.
I ran out of yarn after the first few decreases. Lucky the yarn shop still had some yarn in the same dyelot. Of course I had to pay for shipping again. Grrr...
The result though is a stunning light weight hat.
The baby hat was easy. The kit contained everything I needed to knit this hat: yarn, addi needles, sewing needle, thread to use as stitch markers, a card board template to make the pompon and very clear instructions.
The only thing I needed was scissors.
The hat is supposed to be a size 4-12 months. It looks like it could fit her a long time.

I love Noor's hat, it makes her look so sophisticated. Tara's looks cute too.
