A weighty issue
Last week when I wrote my post I had one sleeve finished and the second one about 1/3 done.
Then I had to add in another ball of yarn. That's when I realized I was about to start on my last ball and I knew from the previous sleeve it would not be enough.
Out came my kitchen scales and to my shock and horror I knew I did not have enough yarn left over to finish the second sleeve.
Both went to the frog pond and I reknit them both. I slightly altered the pattern. My new sleeves are not as wide at the cuff as the original.
I had ten balls of yarn to start with. 10 times 50 grams is 500 grams, right? Now that all the pieces and the neckline are done I put everything, including the last bit of left over yarn in my bowl and lookie - only 488 grams. (I have not yet sewn in any ends)
I have two more lots of Louisa Harding yarn for two more projects and a single ball for a hat, I am sure I won't be buying her yarn again.
Tara is gaining weight. I am glad because before and during Christmas we were getting a bit worried. She was getting taller without gaining much weight.
She now loves eating her food. She likes sweet potato, normal potatoes and carrots. Also any other vegetable she has tried besides beetroot.
Beetroot only while mixed with something she likes.

How disappointing that there wasnt enough yarn. I would be writing to her and telling her about that as it will not be good for her business will it if it happens to other people too. Tara looks so cute. Isabelle always grows taller and never gets wider at all, although lately she has filled out a tiny bit around her shoulders.
I wish I was getting taller and not wider!! She looks adorable. Can't wait to see Noor in her new sweater.
