Smockie

I have been a bad blogger and I have not knitted that much the last few days.
Smockie is finished.
The pattern is from Sublime and it is available for free.
I used three balls of Rowan Purelife yarn to knit size 9-12 months.
I altered the pattern a little and did a crochet picot edging all around the necklines and armholes.
My local yarn shop has the little flower mother of pearl buttons.

Smockie was a great little in between knit.
Looks great on my little model. Even though it is too big for her.
We have sent Smockie across the pond for a friends baby who was born this January.

Looks like a fun project to knit. Love your addition of picot edging. Your little one is adorable too.

How sweet is the smockie. It looks as though you will need to knit one for your gorgeous model too.

Very pretty smock. :o) This looks like a smock that I knitted from a Debbie Bliss pattern. I checked my gauge but alas, in the end, the smock was extremely big for my daughter and I too had to give it to someone else. I'll bet your friend will be overjoyed at the lovely garment.
